Shahla Motamedi organized adventure and educational travel for UCSC and Cabrillo College students for 10 years. I visited destinations including Papua New Guinea, Australia, the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, Peru including Machu Picchu and the Amazon Jungle. The vibrant images of the trip inspired others to join the adventures. I graduated from De Anza College with a degree in Film and Television in 2013.
I was introduced to pigments and color mixing at the Philadelphia University graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Textile Chemistry. "Mixing colors for fabrics or painting with acrylics, making colorful jewelry or vibrant photographs have always been a part of my fabric as an artist. I plan to have an exhibit of my work at the Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center in Ben Lomond. I have participated in Santa Cruz Art Walks, and First Fridays, and exhibited my paintings at Oh My Sole downtown Santa Cruz, Palace Art Downtown Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Micro Brewery, and New Leaf Market in Felton. My art is currently exhibited at Rolling Dunes Restaurant in Oakland California.
I support the Art & Music programs at SLV by selling my notecards for a benefit. I also support rescue horses by donating a portion of the proceeds to this cause.
